Chaser's is an iconic nightclub on Chapel St. Operating since November 1978, Chaser's has adapted over time to accomodate to the needs of the communities of Melbourne, which is one of the reasons for their long-lasting success.
Chaser's is deceptively huge. Most people haven't seen the hidden rooms and other areas. For instance, the Moser Room was designed by Ralph Moser, an Australian art and production designer that has worked on a number of Hollywood Movies. The Moser Room looks like a room in a Medieval European Castle meant for royalty that wanted a 1980's light up dance floor in the middle of it.
Another 'event' space is the Crystal Room. Not as lavish as the room above but still interesting that there is so much to the venue. With chandeliers and a smoking balcony, this is a phenomenal hidden gem.
The Mezzanine is another not so little area situated within the the venue. Used for VIP areas, function spaces and another level of partying.
In addition to Chaser's Saturday, a number of other gay event promoters and organisers hold large scale parties at Chaser's.
Poof Doof is wildly popular and consistently gets big crowd and is open till 6am.
